John Adeyemo, a student driven by curiosity, has actively sought out and embraced various opportunities. He distinguished himself as the valedictorian of the class of 2020 at Ideal Comprehensive College, where he also served as Senior Prefect. Throughout his academic journey, John represented his school in numerous competitions, including the Abayomi Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Competition 2019 and the SG Holding Quiz Competition '20-2021, among others. Notably, he advanced to the final stage of the SG TV quiz in Ogun state, although he did not secure a top-three position.
In July 2020, John was conditionally selected as an Opportunity Funds Program scholar, which provided him with invaluable guidance on applying to schools in the United States. This opportunity spurred him to further his education by enrolling in various Coursera courses, ranging from Calculus to Web Development and Cybersecurity. Recently, John's interest in cybersecurity has deepened, and he aspires to research software security in college. He expresses eternal gratitude to his brother, Peter, for encouraging him to apply for the Opportunity Funds Program.
Driven by a desire to give back to his community, John embarked on the Intellect Africa journey with his friend, Mofe. He hopes that many students will benefit from this initiative and, in turn, contribute to the betterment of their communities.
